Phuket was everything we expected it to be - both good and bad. The beaches were beautiful but the beach towns, especially the one off the main bean of Patong, were incredibly touristy.
Luckily, our bungalow was off the less crowded Kata beach so we were able to enjoy a lazy day in the sun. In the evening we went to Patong beach. While all the people did make for a fun nighttime atmosphere, we headed back to our part of the island for dinner at a roadside restaurant.
